Robotic Surgery

Robotic surgery is a new technique that allows surgery to be performed through small incisions with less pain at the incision sites and better visualization of the pelvis to identify disease more precisely.

With the assistance of the Robot, dexterity for the surgeon is also increased, which allows repair of disease more completely. Among the surgeries that the Robot may be helpful with include:

  • excision of endometriosis
  • lysis of adhesions in pelvis
  • repair of blocked fallopian tubes
  • fallopian tube anastomosis
  • excision of ovarian cysts or ovarian remnants
  • presacral neurectomy
  • myomectomy
  • repair of uterine or pelvic anomalies
  • transposition of ovaries
